A family, their land, their wine

We have a saying that wine is not something you invent. Wine is created by the land. Some may think differently, and believe that today everything is born of a perfect mix of chemistry and marketing. But not us. We have worked the land for generations, and our roots are firmly planted in this territory between the Maiella and the sea, where we have learned that good wine comes from the knowledge and love of the territory you live in. Technical expertise can exalt the bounty that you harvest, but everything starts with the raw materials. All of this must be learned by listening to the wine, beyond time and trends.

Where and how

GEOGRAPHY

The land of Val di Sangro and the Frentane hills in Abruzzo, between the Maiella mountain and the Adriatic Sea.

CLIMATE

Mediterranean, warm and ventilated, with dry breezes from the sea and significant temperature fluctuations from day to night.

SOIL

Red and gray clay soil mixed with limestone, sunny and almost always at an incline, excellent drainage.

VINES

The majority are native, from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo to Cococciola, the fruits of the grand wine-growing tradition in Abruzzo.

CHARACTER

Red, white and rosé with typical character, balanced, extraordinarily pleasant, and in the case of the reds, excellent for ageing.

WINE MAKING

In a large, ultramodern proprietary winery, with a state of the art barrel cellar for ageing wines.

THE TERRITORY

Abruzzo, a strong and gentle land

We are fortunate, because it's impossible not to love the land we are living in. This part of Abruzzo seems to have been created for generating life. Our first reaction to this land is a sense of gratitude for always having repaid our hard work, even during the most difficult years. And today, when we are seeing our wine appreciated in every corner of the world, we often think about the land that produced it with a smile on our faces.
