THE WINES

Our wines: a universal language we use to express our way of being

spinelli

LINE

Spinelli wines express our family's and our company's love of this region to the fullest. High quality wines with their own, unique personalities, produced from carefully-selected grapes while respecting their typical properties; refined for the perfect length of time using the very best techniques to enhance their properties to the fullest.

tratturo

LINE

“And they go along the ancient bridleway, that is almost like a silent grassy river” – wrote the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio, referring to the flocks travelling along the hills of Abruzzi in the transhumance period. A bridleway is a wide path created by the trampling of flocks over the centuries; in our region, these tracks often meander near the vineyards.

val di fara

LINE

Valdifara is the place where we live and work, but also a way to experience wine. This name contains a piece of our history. Even in Abruzzo, Lombard social organization was based on settlements of armed groups (“fara”) some fifteen hundred years ago. These groups led to the development of many small villages scattered throughout Italy.

val di fara bio

LINE

The natural properties of wine are kept intact in every step of production when making these organic wines. Distinctively typical, rustic and lively, these wines speak of Abruzzo with every sip.

rue di piane

LINE

These wines reveal a strong bond with the region of Abruzzo and its traditions. The Rue di Piane are narrow footpaths that lead from the old part of Atessa to the surrounding vineyards.

elements

Abruzzo wines are not just meant to last for one season; they do not follow trends or try to produce special effects. They are pure like us and our land, and draw from modern winemaking techniques all that it takes to bring out their natural characteristics.

AGEING IN BOTTLES

Starting with Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, our main local wine, to Pecorino, with a distinct character rooted in an anciented pastoral world, through to Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Merlot, Canbernet and many others, they all equally express our way of being and seeing our land, its products and the seasons. In one word, our life.
