In 1970, amid the rolling hills of the Val di Sangro, a simple yet ambitious dream began to take shape: to make wine, truly and wholeheartedly. Vincenzo Spinelli worked the land as he always had, with skilled hands and a clear conviction: if the wine I make for myself is good, why not produce it for others as well? From that question - so straightforward it seemed almost naïve - one of Abruzzo’s most important wineries was born.

Year after year, Cantine Spinelli has strengthened its production structure through continued investment in research, quality and technological innovation. Tradition and modernity come together in wines that are distinctive and deeply rooted in both Italian and Abruzzese identity. Today, Cantine Spinelli exports its wines all over the world, while continuing to work with Abruzzo’s finest winegrowers. The Spinelli family still leads the company with the same spirit that inspired its beginnings, combining managerial expertise with a forward-looking vision. In this way, Spinelli continues to evolve while remaining true to its identity.

1973

First Generation

The company was founded by Vincenzo Spinelli. What had begun as a family passion for wine evolved into a productive and commercial enterprise.

1983

Second Generation

Vincenzo’s sons, Carlo and Adriano, joined the company full time. Production volumes increased, while the winemaking process was further refined.

1991

Major Growth

The company continued to expand, acquiring new production facilities and equipping itself with state-of-the-art technology.

2000

International Expansion

The Spinelli brand established a strong presence in international markets, while its logistics capabilities were further strengthened.

2010

Consolidation

Now established across global markets, the brand continues to refine its image and intensify its pursuit of the highest standards of quality, also thanks to the contribution of Italy’s leading oenologists.

Today

The Present

Spinelli is now recognised among the leading producers in Abruzzo and in Italy as a whole. Alongside the carefully considered expansion of its range, the company has also inaugurated its spirits line.
