A vintage of medals for our ZIONE, La Tessa and Val di Fara lines at the AWC Vienna 2023 wine competition, rightly considered among the top international ‘wine challenges’ thanks to the careful blind tasting carried out by the experts and the strict participation rules for producers.
This year’s competition saw the participation of 11,376 labels and no less than 1,514 producers from 42 countries around the world.
The ZIONE line won a handsome poker of medals:
Gold to Trebbiano d’Abruzzo 2021.
Silver to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2020, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo 2021 and Pecorino Terre di Chieti 2021.
The La Tessa line scored a very fine poker as follows:
Gold to Rosato 2022.
Silver to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2021 and Riserva 2020, Pecorino and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, both 2022.
Finally, the Val di Fara line, undisputed protagonist in the large-scale retail trade, scored three silvers with Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2022, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva 2020 and Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo 2022.
