The main grape variety in the Abruzzo region. It is a native grape which in recent years, thanks to the work of wine producers and experts, has become one of the finest red wines in Italy. This grape variety finds the perfect soil and climatic conditions for fully expressing its qualities only in the hills of Abruzzo: an intense ruby red color, with brilliant violet undertones, a structured, balanced and full-bodied flavor, proper alcohol content, scarce acidity and moderately tannic, with a rich, vinous, fruit aroma and dry taste.
